All parents want two things for their children: health and happiness. WNC Healthy Kids, the Community Transformation Grant Project, Local Health Departments, Schools and Churches in your community have partnered up to promote family health and happiness. Look for an It’s Okay to Play sign at schools and churches near you to know where you can engage in safe physical activity. Active play promotes healthy bodies and minds. Jump, run, and play with your kids because it’s okay to play. Find more information and It’s Okay to Play locations at 521almostnone.com.

Anam Cara Theatre Company aims to produce progressive work that provides audiences and company members alike, with an experience that makes evident the eternal connection of all humanity, in turn promoting social change, and striving for the equality of all people. We find value in all of the arts and strive to produce an eclectic mix of work that is not exclusive to simply traditional theatre. We often incorporate music and art, as well as the written and spoken word into our productions, creating a unique blend of multiple art forms, achieving a distinctive aesthetic that sets us apart from other theatre companies. Anam Cara brings to you our open mic storytelling event, Tales & Ales. Event is pay what you can. Live music starts it off. True tales are told by your friends and neighbors. Here some stories, or tell your own. All manner of storytellers welcome!
